P90x / insanity

This topic will come up eventually an since im not sure where to post about training routines an stuff I'll just post here. I have done insanity an lost bout 13lbs doing it a year or so ago. It will give results if you do it, but anything will give results if you do it for 60 days. I guess it provides structure for some an that may be just what some need. P90x has worked for several people I know but nomore than a good liftin routine with some moderate cardio. I suggest youtubin these programs an skimming through the programs just to learn the circuit exercises they do. But I'd love to hear progress folks have made with them

RE: P90x / insanity

From what I've seen, what P90X has best going for it is its marketing. I can't tell if the drink was made for the program or the program was made for the drink. The ingredients in the drink don't impress me much.

You're right, a good weight training routine will give the same or better results with less time needed working out. Some of the exercises P90X suggests are bad for causing injuries too. It is good for someone who is not doing anything at all but with the amount of time involved most won't stay with the program long and go back to where they started, doing nothing at all.

Just my 2 cents
